this blog and indeed this site has been in a coma since, well last november. With out wanting to go in to too much detail, both work (since the extraction/sell off/…) and home have been keeping me busy.
The PHP driver has not stood still though. In CVS we have:
- Fixed crash on module unload
- Added support for parameter typing to match PHP data to Ingres types
- Added preliminary UTF-16 support
- Added global to configure connection timeout
If you want a copy of these changes I have a tar ball you can look at. Mail me via grantc@php.net if you want it, (you will have to confirm you are not a spam bot before I get the mail).
Once i get the BLOB loading/inserting/updating working I will roll out a new release to http://pecl.php.net/project/ingres. Also I hope to submit code so you can use Ingres’s ODBC/CLI with PHP::PDO, once I work out how to run the tests that is.
